a ze map set place in a rollermine factory^^ features: cubemaps (even though you cant see them that much but you still can a bit) lots of different kind of rooms like: labs, storage room, waste room etc teleporters with sound effects twisted surprise at the end ^^ and WTF BOOM sound when map is being nuked :D changes in v2: adde a another way in the box room map now supports 64 players doors now have 30 seconds delay on them so you now have to hold off the zombies changed a texture which seemed to not be working as it kept changing from black to texture changes in v3: fixed the buttons to look better Changes in v4 added 4 more ways to get up on the boxes in the box room rounded some corners in the parking lot area. (see screenshot) made the map change mp_roundtime to 7 added a couple of decals here and there changes in v5 made that when you fall down in the first room you will teleport back to the start so that the first zombie doesnt keep dying the first minute varied the console commands and also added commands when the doors opens made the glass in the room with the 3 doors with 30 seconds delay stronger so it will be easier to defend changes in 2010 improved the graphics optimised it abit modified some holding points for better balance

    Yep, don't get me wrong Plague - I'm not advocating removal of the language per se. I was only giving my test players feedback about the security door "bullshit" Console messages. The WTF BOOM at the end - a carry over from Denn15's mountainrun map, is great .. the actual language is drowned out in the explosion but of course people know what it says. :-) I actually like that Denn15 could, if he wished, carry that into a lot of his future maps as his signature tune of sorts, so to speak ... I was only mentioning the "security bullshit" phrase could possibly be changed if a further version was planned, as feedback from the testers .. for me, it matters not, as it doesn't change the enjoyment of rollermine at all .. a great map, a lot of fun to play, and a bonus to any server featuring it on their map cycle! :-)

    I enjoy the fact that the map doesn't last 2 hours long. Short runs = more attempts at making it for everyone. @sand, The game is rated M for a reason. I love the language.     Good changes, but i gotta agree with sandfly: the map is still small (but more interesting with the stops at the doors). other thing is the msg that sandfly mentioned below. yes i can see that you tried to put some humor in the map, i could already see that in your mountain_run (the wtf boom) your desire to bring humor to the map. but at those doors i would reccomend something at least more varied. ( for a door would be security bullshit, for another, epic security fail, just some examples) but that doesn't change the fact that this map is a good one, now improved ;)

    Hello Denn15 - thank you for allowing us to participate in the developmental idea of this now amazingly fun map and testing of it! Pros: This latest v4 of this map is just about as good as it will get without lengthening the actual map route itself. The different rooms all present their own unique set of challenges, and really do call upon a good skillset to be applied by all players to get to the end in a timely fashion. The Box room is now excellent. The previous concerns of mine and others has now been fully addressed with the thoughtful placement of more boxes and ladders affording the Zombies a multitude of choices to get past that room fairly. The change you made in v3 with the buttons is also a good cosmetic one and appreciated by the players. Your upgrade to this 64 spawnpoint map version means that ALL servers can play this without anyone missing out & waiting in the wings for a spare slot - very well done! Good idea to implement a maptime of 7 minutes, however that can be done on an individual map config basis, and given that it does not take much beyond 5 minutes to generally finish this map, the time setting may or may not prove useful to servers. In any case, when either side flies off, the round ends, so whether it is set at 5 or 7 minutes, it matters not in the end. Better to have it there than not anyway - it shows thoughtfulness to new or inexperienced players of the map. The FPS is also very good in this map - we had 49 players test this out thoroughly last night, and the fps dropped no lower than 110 - 115fps at any stage that I could see - again, well done! Cons: Very few indeed to speak of .... Only from a player feedback viewpoint, I would tone down the Console commands using profanity. The testers are not prudes, but they considered it unnecessary, when a simple command like "Security Protocol engaged - Defend against Zombies! Doors will open in 30 seconds" would have been just as well implemented. The only other Con to this map, which is not detractive in any way from this effort, is the length of the map. The players had such fun in it, that they were wishing it was a little longer! Improvements: Truly, there is not much I could add that would improve this effort. The only issues I would suggest is as above. Firstly, if there's no need for profanity in Console message, then replace them with something as suggested above - it is far more professional a presentation, believe me. Secondly, if it were possible, or if you plan on working this map to another version, to please make it a bit longer .. maybe add a section in between the Parking Lot and the previous stage ... just an idea to prolong the enjoyment of this wonderful map. Lastly, you have done a terrific job of introducing fresh new ideas and Escape map vision, and applying them here in one extremely good, fun-to-play map. Please check your PM for some ideas for possible future efforts from you, as I believe you to be fully capable of implementing them and creating a very good name for yourself in the Zombie Escape map area - and no doubt other Zombie map themes as well. Notes: Brilliant Escape map layout, challenge & innovative approach, excellent detail involved, a genuine desire to improve via feedback and a quick implementation of those ideas into version changes - I'm sure I am not the only one looking forward to your next Escape map effort, Denn15! Excellent map, excellent effort. 9.8/10

    Love the update, only have one complaint now, The generator room where you meet the first 30 second doors, I agree with the time although it's alot harder to hold if the map isn't full. I don't agree with the ability to crouch through from the side since you're baracading the door. I would like to see the glass break still but not able to crouch through it. Maybe the people on my server are retarded but zombies always jump into it very easily. Alternatively, you could make the middle hallway 20 seconds as a substitute for walls on both sides.

    Besides what is already mentioned, I would like to see the box room to have either another ladder to get up or something because one person can hold off a horde of zombies at the moment since they can only come from one direction. I'll be more then happy to change my score from a 9.4 to flat 10 if you can make it easier in that room for zombies. It's just too hard at the moment.

    I agree with Death below in that the map could be longer, and certainly with the Console prompts with the examples he has given. The size of the map is large - I would request if you could see your way to releasing an updated version, to please release it as a 64 spawnpoint version of this map - we had a near full server wishing to try it out, but at 25 per side for a 50 spawnpoint map, it meant a lot of people were just sitting there waiting to get in. This map, due to its size, could easily support 64 players without blinking an eyelid in terms of performance degradation. However, with 50 ppl max in the map, the FPS was very good - it did not drop below 85fps anywhere that I could see with that number in it. Well done! The sound effects are very well suited to the map, and there is a lot of potential here .. we'll be happy to assess & rate it if you are able to release an upgraded version at some stage soon.
