GB DEAGLE (FINAL) ================= author...........Electronaut date completed...01.04.2006 version..........1.0.0 game type........Counter-Strike: Source map type.........Generated Boxes (gb_*), Fight Yard (fy_*), Deagle Map Information: ------------ This is a deagle map I created that provides some randomness to the paths from one side of the level to the other. I devised several different pathways to be opened up in the map, which are picked at random after every spawn. This means that the way a player went one round will most likely not be available to him/her next round. This makes the game a bit more adaptive. Additional Notes: ----------------- * There are no buy zones in this map. Deagles, kevlar armor and helmets are given to each player at the beginning of the map. * There is one custom texture used in this map, and it was added to the BSP file using bspzip, meaning there are no textures needing to be unzipped, making it for easier installation. 1/2 of the texture is on the billboard on one of the walls, and the other is in an easter egg room located below the center of the warehouse.     Oh lol, no I haven't even played that map I think. Unless it's the one with the warehouse setting where there are shelves of boxes instead of crates. ;)

    Naw, I just wanted to make it a warehouse-like map. Anyway, thanks for accepting my appeal, I really appreciate it man. :)

    Ok, dude, i just thought you were trying to make cs_deagle, cause if you were, the maps a bit of shit, but seen as you ddnt try and copy a map ill approve

    I don't know if you were implying that I stole some deagle map (and I don't want to imply that you were implying that), but I still want to say that I made this one from scratch.

    The other deagle maps I've played were pretty crappy, with exception of one nice one I played for 1.6 that had a ladder + elevated enclosed hallway. The gist of it is that the boxes are randomly placed so people won't have a set path every round. I don't know how that lacks originality--because I have yet to personally come across anything that does the same thing (there might be others out there)--but you're well-entitled to your opinion I guess.

    I pretty much made this map because I was sick of playing other deagle maps (or similar maps with other weapons) and always having to deal with people who were way too formulaic about their positioning, which can take away the point of the map--honing one's skill with the said weapon. I figured if people had to think on their feet more, they'd be paying more attention to using the deagle and less time trying to find the best route to take.

    Anyway, it's cool and all that you didn't like that map, but completely overlooking the randomness of it isn't fair, especially for the reason you chose your disapproval. It took me hours of tedious to actually make the boxes do the things they do.

    But I definitely agree with your opinion with how mundane and tall the boxes look.

    Dont like it at all, you took the awesome deagle map and KILLED it by making the boxes+map+distance between boxes too big
