A submission that was made with little effort, little inspiration, and no planning definitely don't worth at all more than a submission that took time, planning, and inspiration.
Let me give you an example... That submission is a WIP about just a little pixel art of Sonic that was supposedly to be an animation or something.
In my understanding this submission featuring must have been removed and automatically granted to another submission... For example this one, just look at that work, the screenshots and it is a good idea!
Correct me if I'm wrong but some featurings are chosen automatically depending on certain parameters (views, comments, likes, etc) and is a good system because it would be too hard to choose manually wich submissions worth, everyday in every category and every section... But it has it's defects because - for example - having only many views does not means that the submission worth for a featuring.
So here is my idea:The site staff would have to review what the bot has chosen before (if not possible just after) the submission is featured. If this submission does not meet certain requirements based on common sense (does this mod shows inspiration? does this mod required work? Is this mod good?), the featuring will be withdrawn and it will be left in hands (again) of the bot that decides wich submissions are featured, watching if this time the featuring actually worth it.
I'm sure that I'm not the only one thinking about this and if you don't, I hope you understand what I'm talking about.
