Mughud (Updated)

A GUI Mod for Team Fortress 2

"A clearer take on the Vanilla HUD, fitting the TF2 theme."

"This HUD moves around and tweaks the default HUD elements, to give you a clean and competitive-ready HUD, matching the Vanilla TF2 style.

The main in game HUD is done, but this is a work in progress and I will be adding more features soon. I've tested the HUD in 1280x720, but it should work fine in other resolutions."

Features

  • Removed all the clutter from the default HUD. (Background panes, etc)
  • Health, Ammo, charge-bars, crits, heads and killstreak all moved to a more visible, central position.
  • Giant Uber Meter
  • Big damage numbers!
  • Health numbers added to Target ID, Healer/Heal Target ID and Killer ID.
  • Larger, more readable Ammo, Killstreak and Uber counter on Target IDs
  • Improved Class Selection menu, with switch team buttons, and only taking up the top part of the screen.
  • Cleaner Dead/Spectator GUI, with bottom bar removed, and large respawn timer.
  • Similar Tournament Dead/Spectator GUI, with better player health/uber/respawn icons.
  • De-cluttered scoreboard with a big K/D. (Works with the new update that broke scoreboards!)
  • More compact cp, koth, ctf, pl, plr and sd objective displayers (cp icons, pl track, etc)

I really like this hud! and with a few tweaks- i can see this being something i would use!
The fonts- well for example- DMG numbers- the map timers- can be rather big- can hard to read- or in the case of KOTH not being able to see at all
I really like how it keeps the style of TF2! not a lot of huds do thats why i adore this hud

  • I adore HUDs that keep the original TF2 font and feel while making it more easy to read. I've been waiting for a HUD like this for a long time!

I played a few games with it and noticed that the scoreboard information is rather close together, making it harder to read, and some information is completely obscured, like the amount of players on BLU team.
I also noticed that RED's timer/overtime text in koth is covered by the panel at the top. (unsure of the name, sorry!)

My game also crashed whenever the results screen at the end of the match popped up, as well.

I don't know if these issues are at the fault of me, the game, or anything else, I just thought I'd let you know!
Keep up the great work! (P.S. I freakin' LOVE the way you display the K/D)

Notes
"My future plans for additions include a main menu, a team select and more. I use TED Notepad and Geany to make this, and got lots of useful info from both Flame and Doodle's HUD tutorials."

Side Note: Due to my keyboard breaking, I haven't been able to make a custom main menu yet.
