Welcome to the Quake III Rally! It's finally here! A game! With maps! And cars!
We know how long you've been waiting for this, so we're happy to say it's ready for public consumption. There's lots of cars, there's lots of maps, there's lots of game modes - and yes, you can play it online.
If this is your first outing with Quake III Rally, then welcome! We hope you enjoy our little mod.
If you've played Q3R before then welcome back. You're especially welcome if you trying this for a second time to see if the physics are improved. Hopefully you'll find the latest updates make a real difference to your play experience.
What's new in this release?
General improvement in physics code.
Increased brake strength by about 15-20%.
Added collision damage scale cvar and lowered the default damage.
Fixed checkpoint arrow to point to the checkpoint more accurately.
2 second delay before wrong way message will pop up.
Improved control in keyboard/joystick control mode.
Increased gravity and friction slightly.
Other players wheels will rotate when driving now.
Fixed crash bug when the car spins too fast.
Fixed server crash bug at the beginning of a race (we hope).
Added damage sounds and other general race sounds.
Add observer spectator mode.
Miscllaneous other changes.
