What is it and why does this mod exist?Unlike the original version of Toughter Trees that prevents the fall of trees with explosions and increases the hardness of the tree in front of the ax, this modified version maintains the hardness in front of the ax, but if it allows the tree to fall with explosions.
It sounds contradictory (since Toughter Trees was designed to make the acquisition of wood a more complex challenge), and they will think, what is the point of making the tree harder front of the ax if I can continue to obtain wood by simply using bombs?
That is not the reason why I wanted to make this version of Tougher Trees with explosions being effective against trees, my reason is not to get wood in a simpler way, in fact, I love the way in which the original version of Toughter Trees it makes the acquisition of wood more complex, and that still remains in my version, and that is what I will continue to do to obtain wood, cut the trees with the ax (in fact, if the reason was to obtain wood easier, would have enough with use the vanilla version of the trees and there would be no had to modify anything)
The reason I modified the original version of Tougher Trees was because during the battles when explosions occur (enemy bombs arrow, Lynel fire, bomb explosions, explosive barrels, etc.), the trees do not fall, which made battles lose dynamism in places with big amount of trees, and I love feel like the battle scenario change in real time with explosive attacks, I love see the enemy (specially guardians with laser beam) destroying the trees where I hid. It was also fun when they chased me while I was running through trees and seeing those trees that I was using as coverage falling around me while I running , it was very immersive. Personally I wanted that when a guardian followed me with his laser beam, could fall the trees where I was covered while trying to flee from it (this is just an example of a battle situation where explosions occur).
Therefore and summarizing, I love the way in which Tougher Trees (SOTW) added hardness to the felling of trees and I also love the way in which the vanilla game allows the modification of the stage in real time during the battle and dynamism through The destruction of elements.
So I used both and mixed them in this mod. Obviously to get wood I will continue to use the ax in the trees like in "Tougher Trees", but in the battles I will be able continue enjoying the dynamism of the explosions.
The mod could not have done it without the help of many people:
Silentverge, ArcAngelofJustice, NiceneNerd, CEObrainz, Kreny, Ginger, Puddles, Christmasy Connor and surely many others who I forget in this moment (sorry), thanks to everyone, and especially for patience due to language differences :P!
