Fixed an issue that caused frame drops
Reduced embers and glow little bit for optimization
Added old style green flames for spectral flame spell flamethrowers
Frame Drop Fix + Halloween Flames
Makes the new flamethrower effect look more like the old one while still keeping the new accurate flame hitbox display.
It's possible to directly change it to the true old effect but that would be inaccurate at displaying the real hitboxes so i'm not going to do that. VIDEO
On my own server, it works like a charm. On sv_pure 0 servers, it breaks. Once i went back to the private server, it was still broken. I don't know how to fix. I've tried many servers, it doesn't work.
Please, please, please upload this to Workshop and/or email Eric with this because it's superior to the new flames in every way.
so i went to a 100% crits server and the flame's were glitched as fuck.
How do I install this? Extracted the vpk file to the custom folder and nothing changes. Any help?
these particles are better than these new ones
Agree x 3
Win x 1
Interesting x 1
Have my babies x 1
Cheers x 1
Is it possible to fix the issue where the first 3 fire particles don't appear? Just tap with the flamethrower, you will see that the first 3 fire particles are not emitted
Can you add old style flames for the Halloween fire (you know the spell you can add onto flamethrowers)?
i'm having trouble installing the flames. i tried putting the .vpk file inside the custom folder, and the tf folder, and it didnt change the flames at all. i even checked in a training map with sv_pure 0. is there something im doing wrong?
It seems the recent update to the Phlog particles broke this somewhat. Normal and Rainblower fire is fine, but Phlog fire doesn't show up after that update.
Edit: Actually nvm, it's ChaoFanatic's old Phlog effect reskin that needs updating
Thanks you, the new effect looks too real.
