Tf2 Beta minigun muzzleflash restoration

WE NEED MODEL RIGGERS, MODELLERS, AND MAYBE ANOTHER ANIMATOR

what we are striving for

post 1: we started the project on 8/28/2013, 10:32 PM, we have a basic idea of what we are doing, we plan on making a custom model for the minigun to make it work.

update 1: we've been thinking of ideas of how we could make the sentry muzzleflash and minigun muzzleflash work. One idea was to make the muzzleflash a body-group, and have a code to have it so that whenever it shoots it will make the muzzleflash appear in front of the minigun. Another idea was to have it appear in front of the minigun by editing the first and third person animations of the minigun to have it appear in front of the gun whenever the animations are played. Either way it's still going to require editing the model to hide the muzzleflash inside of it.

update 2: we are making some progress, we decided to take the edited model way, expect it soon, hopefully. (note, doing this it will only be for the default minigun for now)

Update 3: we got the model (hopefully), and this one should work, next update will come depending on weather the animations work or not with this model (see image 2)

update 4: we now are faced with a tough decision, finish thirdperson and work on the much easier firstperson? or get the firstperson out of the way so that thirdperson will be sexually deviant, also we are working very hard for you all, so be sure to support those that have helped, or are currently helping by saying thanks to them ^_^. (picture 3 is the firstperson model, this way it should work with all miniguns, but not custom heavy models)

update 5(very excited :D ): okay so paysus (using his master animating skills) got a build of the firstperson view (see images 4 and 5) we are getting very close guys, get ready.

update 6: image 6.....OHH SWEET JESUS, this is the reason why we have test builds.... it's okay we are gonna fix it.

update 8: sorry for the wait, just alot of testing, and I've been away from the PC to check up on progress, be ready soon though :D

update 9: slight hiatus, no pc, typing on a wii u gamepad, will pick back up when I get a new charger

update 11: messed with the files a little bit, made it look slightly more modern.....or fucked up... what do you guys think?

update 11.5: messed with the vmt's more and got this, would you guys like to see this as an option?

UPDATE 12!!!!!: all ratchet bullshit holes in the muzzleflash are fixed, it now looks normal!....well it is still freaking huge.... video coming soon.

update 13: damn....alot of updates, added image 9 courtesy of FiveEyes, he added transparency, the model will be way smaller, but tell us what you all think of the transparency (note, transparency as of right now will also make the other beta muzzleflashes slightly transparent just like the minigun.)?

update 14 (getting closer): paysus is making it smaller, and a littler more accurate, about to start on thirdperson.

update 15: done with firstperson animations (small tweaks are needed, not much else, essentially done) gonna work on 3rd person.

update 16: man it's been a long time, anyone want to help with rigging?

update 17: we just got in contact with the guy who made the two hand cannon and hopefully he might make 3rd person animations for us, please be patient, this is a huge project, and one of the first of its kind.

update 18: paysus got 3rdperson working, fixing out kinks and such now, picture 12 is complete courtesy of paysus

    it was a custom minigun model

    so now its not

    no custom models, just bodygroups, which is 10x more crude

    Thanks man. How does it feel that you'll be the first guy who had a part in making something people have tried to recreate since TF2 moved from beta to release?

It'd maximize input, bug reports, and really just give the project more life and open up communication about specific aspects.     that's the thing, when I said I will not release an unfinished project, it's not out of pride, hell I'm a piece of crap, but like I learned along time ago "It's not about having ideas, it's about making things happen." and I will make this happen, I will allow edits when the project is finished and uploaded to GB and FP.
