So, I was always a big fan of Assassination game mode from 1.6 to help me do it for CS:GO. Turns out he's the one doing most of it. Se7en joined us as well, and he'll be working on model related stuff because no one else wants to do it.
The real goal here is making this game mode available to anyone, online and offline, without any server sided plugin, making it easier for everyone to enjoy the game mode!
That's right, for that we're gonna need VScripts, and that's where Birjolaxew comes in. So far we got most of it done, but we're still working on it to make it not just fairly equal/loyal to the 1.6 mode, we're trying to make it even better in some aspects. Obviously there are some restrictions, lots of them actually, we can't simply make it happen since it's still essencially mapping and entities work. One can't simply make a mode, this takes time and skill to make it bug-free, and playable.
Improvements over other Assassination modes:
Obviously - Not requiring any plugin instalation;
Colored informative team messages (see screenshots);
VIP HP tracking system for CTs (see screenshot #4);
Visually more appealing (helicopter with flying animation, new engine etc);
Easy for map makers, simply apply the ultra compact Assassination prefab;
VIP will be able to buy weapons to his team mates, but won't be able to use them (not certain);
- Anti-insta-round-lost-system on event of VIP disconecting (not certain);
(we're basicly trying to push ourselves here)
TO DO LIST (might change stuff here)
Improve VIP notification to let player know he's VIP;
Spawn restricted item in front of VIP player while removing it from player VIP instead of deleting them (can't simply force him to drop, that's impossible);
if VIP disconnects with 100HP, select new VIP, else Terrorists Win;
- Fix some VIP model issues;
