tow_warpath is a remake of tfc's classic warpath designed for day of defeat. I remade it because I needed to add additional spawn locations and for practice. A fairly new concept to dod, a tug of war style map.
The battle begins as each team races to the middle to cap out. Which ever team caps the middle first decides the direction of the game. Only two points are on at once in sequence;in order. There are 5 capture points, #3 being the middle or bridge. There are 5 spawn locations per team. Spawns move with the game play.
Unlike attack/defend maps where one team attacks the entire round and another team defends. This map was designed to do both. If you want to advance, you must attack and cap your advancing flag before the other team does or your out and the game just leaped frog to the next point in the other teams favor resulting in a Tug of War. For example: point 1 and 2 or point 3 and 4. This was done to mimic tfc's game play at its best.
TOW isn't 100 full proof because its a map of triggers and events, I have encountered one problem. At the exact moment one team caps its flag when the other caps its flag to advance at the same time, it trips the sequence of events. I can only see a third-party plugin correcting this problem and another reason why I won't be attempting any more maps like this;nonetheless, it's a neat concept.
