You can get an idea of how this works by reading this tutorial. Using this technique might greatly improve the quality of this skin.

the way which is described in the tutorial doesnt work.

    Worked pretty fine for me...

I think u don't used it for a player model? ... source can't load the .mdl at mine

It should work the same for player models, there is no factual difference between a gun texture/shader file and a player texutre/shader file. Make sure you follow all the steps and it will wokr!

i follow all the steps, but if i change the sentences in the .vmt it doesnt work.

I am not convinced by this piece of work.Overall, I can say that The lines look blurry, cheap and kind of misplaced. Going into a detailed review, you can clearly see that it is only a color overlay, why not adding glow via shaders ?

Regarding those aprts of the texture, it feels like some of the phong went terribly wrong.

Another thing I might point out is that the overall composition lacks any kind of harmony, the skin should "flow", but you can clearly see the bordes between the tron-styled part of the texture and the untouched ones, which makes it look like a mixture of two completly different things :

Add some glow stuffs to make look like tron style.

Do u mean that the surface of the skin glows? (reflectivity)?
