Mateba Model 6 Unica Animations - COMPLETE!

Now with video of me making them!

Decided to redo the project, but this time I record my progress. Woo~ Everything is done. All i need now is to tweak it a bit and get some textures.

Fire: For the animation itself skip to 11:25

Draw: For the animation itself skip to 21:54

Reload: For the animation itself skip to 36:55

Complete Set:

Hope this helps someone i guess. Not much of a tutorial though, it's more like videos of how i work/animate. I will also attempt to texture these. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be shit.

Videos are sped up in case nobody noticed.

Gotta remember to remove the sleeves as they show up in the animation. Cant have that happening now. Reload is 110 frames.

The hammer should be a bit larger, it needs to be around the top of the latch on the left side of the revolver when it's in the idle position.

Very cool, I've never seen one of these revolvers before and it'll be pretty cool to see one in game. :] The shooting does look a little sluggish to me though.

From the bit of research I've done on this gun, it doesn't appear to have too much recoil; that I think you've got down pat. The way its executed though could have a little more 'oomph'. The method SevenZero mentioned, of adding a single frame pointing down slightly at the beginning is a great way of adding some punch. Another thing that might kind of help (especially since it does appear to have a bit of a sliding action on it) is to add a little jiggle at the height of the recoil. I super amplified this technique for my Deagle set, but in a smaller scale it can add a LOT to a smaller caliber pistol animation.

Looking forward to seeing more of this!

The shoot looks kinda awkward right now. Maybe you should add more upward and backward movement, backward should go first though.

Try rotating the gun just a bit downward and backward on frame 1, then on frame 2 or 3 put it more backward and rotate it upward to emphasize recoil.

PS. I can provide better sounds if you want :)

It may look weird because the gun's upper frame thing moves like a slide, but ill take note of it anyway. Also if you could provide me with some nice sounds, it would be appreciated. I threw these sounds together in like 5 minutes just to have something there :V

Haha, yeah sure I'll whip up some sounds for you later.
