SPAS 12 Rendering.

Since I am learning to render in Max 2009, I thought this would be a good start. Any Suggestions?

So yeah, it has been two days since I got 3DS Max 2009, and have been playing with it. I learnt the basics like navigating and creating basic objects. But before I started any shitty modelling/texturing work of mine, I thought I should start with rendering models in my pledge to become a full boosted 3D Artist xD

This is very basic of rendering, known as clay rendering if I am not wrong. I probably added a few lights and messed up with the material editor. Tried a lot of angles favourably, if they are right and looks good, I dont know.. I probably want to learn the next level of rendering, like getting shadows and other stuff like using shaders and bump maps, so tutorials or helpful comments are appreciated.

To get your render to look sharp and nice, use these settings.

But of course, a nice material and light setup is always needed too.

    Wow thx...

But it's so small it pixelates.

    Try rendering 1280X720 at minimum.

Your render resolution is really small.

Ah, I do not want to spend hours on rendering something like 4096px.. I keep it small and its enoug..
