NEWS REPORTER [5 Positions]

We're currently looking for 5 new reporters to join the current staff. Initial responsibilities will be to cover press releases during a 'trial period', after which you'll be responsible to research and collect information on your own accord with minor topic direction from Editors/Managers. There will also be possibilities to write larger articles at a different pay scale.

You need to be available on a regular basis and must know your way around the internet and other news mediums in order to collect relevant information for GameBanana; Reporters must be able to post one or more pieces each week. We have several tools available that pull in a large portion of information but extra research may be required.

SITE CONTENT REPORTER [1 Position]

We're currently looking for 1 new reporter for this position. News coverage will be on Studio activities, releases, events and potentially short Q/A sessions. SERVER SIDE CODER

In 2013 we are looking to re-launch the GameBanana Servers and I am offering a position for someone to help us create unique server side plugins to help link the site and servers together.

The role would include working with the site admin team and Lead Server Operator to develop unique plugins based on various research.

Essential Experience/Skills

• User must have experience and knowledge of coding server side plugins for either Source Engine or GoldSrc games.
• User must be capable of working together with a team of site admins and operators on a day to day basis and reporting back each month to Machinefloor Staff.

PROJECT MANAGERS

Here at GameBanana we have many great ideas on projects on the back burner and I am looking for a group of people who are willing to take a few of these on. As project manager you would be responsible for overseeing the project from initial concept, right through to implementation.

We have projects of various sizes ranging from small on-site community projects to much larger projects such as new websites, services or projects with large gaming companies. Some projects you will be able to complete using current staff and volunteers, whilst some of the more ambitious projects may require work to be outsourced.

We are always looking for new ways to improve and so PM's have the option of either taking on one of our existing projects or proposing their own unique ideas.

Essential Experience/Skills

• User must have past experience of managing projects, people or events.
• User must have a good level of English.
• User must be expected to work either on their own or organise a small team to help complete the project.
• Users will be expected to work closely with other staff and provide regular updates to site admins.
• Users will be exposed to commercially sensitive information regarding new projects and thus must be trustworthy.
