  • 1. First make a new 3 by 3 pixle with transparent background

  • 2. Zoom the image to the size 1600%(full), now you should have something that looks like this: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

  • 3. Now pull out your "pencil tool" and set the "master diameter (right click) to 1px.

  • 4. Just click once on the middle of the image and now it looks like this: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

  • 5. Now you've created the pattern, you have to save it, now go to "edit" > "define pattern" and save it as any name you want, i named mines "dots".

  • 6. To apply the pattern on an image, go to "edit" > "fill", choose the pattern you've made and select the "mode" and "opacity".
