Is there any other endings?

IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THIS GAME, THIS THREAD MIGHT/WILL HAVE SPOILERS!!!! What did you guys and gals thought about the game? I really liked it, the story and all, but the gameplay was a bit gory and boring. Spoiler here I just beat the game a minute ago, it had a pretty good ending. Now I want to know if there is any other ending than the one where the dude saved the little sisters and gave them a life?

Yes there are multiple endings, and I would suppose they depend on the amount of Little Sisters you save and/or harvest. I happened to harvest each Sister I could manage, and certainly saw a different ending from yourself.

I didn't like Bioshock, everyone is a idiot in it. Your character is in a city under water filled with crazy people, so he finds a needle and stick it into his arm? And a guy was trying to fight a man made of metal with a gun.

There are two endings. if you don't harvest any, you get a different ending from if you kill even ONE little sister.

well don't play it, go play the "oh so realistic" CSS.

no one forced you to play Bioshock.

i also laugh at how hypocritical your post is.

Even 1 little sister? Okay good I save everything I see a Big Daddy with a litte sister, everytime they kill me, the little sister disappears.

I really loved the ending where you didn't harvest them though. =]

OK researched and there are indeed only 2 endings.
    ENDINGS.
1st-Rescue little sisters (you don't have to rescue all, but you cannot harvest even ONE)
2nd-Harvest every little sister you come by (If you harvest even one you will get the 2nd ending)

EDIT2: Gamespot says there are 3 endings

I did harvest one, and I didn't get hte 2nd ending. Can anyone mind telling me about it? I don't want to play that 30 minutes of stuff again. I harvested the last girl before I found the boots and went on to Fontaine's guiding the little sister and protecting her while she grabs the adam from the test samples. I only got that ending with the dude saving the little girls and they got married and education. Just like the first time I beat without harvesting any.

I absolutely loved the game, I saved all the little sisters but one. I wished they would have made it longer just simply because it was a fun game to play but I still loved it regardless.

Did not buy it myself. Just seemed kind of boring and sluggish(gameplay wise). Also, it runs on Steam(Hahaha, God do I hate Steam). I'm looking forward to CoD:4 as well as Crysis(Crysis more than CoD:4). Mmmm, Dx10 gaming. Seems like I've been waiting too long(yes, I am a fireman when it comes to computers).

You do know that COD4 have a very high chance that it's going to be on Steam right? Also there's a non-steam version of Bioshock.

I beat it in a couple hours, was very disappointed by the the game, the gameplay was meh. Way to easy.
    The graphics were great though.

A classic example of a hyped up game turning out to suck when it's released.

And I got the evil ending, and watched the good ending on youtube.

Aw, I got the good ending. That ending was really good, I loved it. I almost cried at the deathbed part. I saw the harvestedgathering ending(bad) on youtube. Anyone found the killedgathering ending? That would be the 3rd ending that gamespot stated.

If you play it on hard, and just follow the story, you can easily beat it in about 30-50minutes.

The game on steam said it was about 7.25gb. Just above 7gig. I bought this game to see how good DX10 was. I didn't see much difference, but I'm waiting for Crysis. If your into the story, just buy it, it's worth the 50 bucks I say.

In the end you find out that the little girl really has a crush on you and does it with you. You then get caught before you can do it by Chris Hanson on Datline NBC, and after you leave the ocean you are quickly arrested. :( Still a fun game though.

Everyone who posts about how they beat it in 30 minutes is missing the point of the game.

Its not to just run through as fast as you can do it and get done, its about trying to immerse yourself in rapture, it took me 20+ hours to beat the game. Why? Not because i suck at games, but because i took it slow, admired the scenery and tried to to convince myself that i WAS in rapture, trying to invision the birth of the city, the supremely optimistic "roaring 20's" full throttle capitalism and industry, the beginings dissent and eventually revolt and decline into anarchy/insanity. This game is a story, not just a run-down-halls and shoot everything kind of game like Doom ect. and should be played as such.

IMHO thats how Bioshock should be played, not trying to beat in as little time as possible.

    D3vin,

I wasnt implying that YOU specifically just ran through the game, or somehow played it "wrong" and I apologize if you interpreted it that way. If you want to beat it really fast, that your decision, I was just stating the way I prefer to play single player games.

I totally agree 1blank, I still fairly quick about it (I get nervous sometimes and rush stuff) but I definitely took my time to explore nearly every bit, and whatever I missed I found on my second run through.

Dunno if I've already said this, but the sheer amount of normal maps was pretty amazing to me, I'm suprised it didn't use up all my ram as I only had 1.5 at the time.

I completed this game yesterday after playing it for about 12 hours straight while having a few beers and spliffs.

I have to say this game is brilliant, just looking around at the enviroments, listening to the odd calls of a splicer. Listening to all the Audio Diaries just made my involvement and feeling in Rapture 100% better.

And I loved the quick switch option from Plasmids to Weapons, made for feirce battles.

I would reccomend this game to anybody. Best game since S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Well I don't know how close I am to the end... But the game play is kinda... Boring... There is action, gore, shooting. But I think something is missing in that game. I still don't know what... So for now the game is kinda boring for me.

I don't think Bioshock was half as good/revolutionary as the mazgazines made it out to be. The storyline was none the less incredible, although the idea of sticking a needle into your arm to gain new abilities was pretty pathetic in my mind, although thoroughly enjoyable. I loved the morbid feel of the entire game, and this was something I have never felt through games before, so that was a big plus for me.

The entire thing reminded me of Metroid Prime on the gamecube, and truthly it felt exactly as though I was playing that but under a different name. The Big Daddy's were a lot easier then I expected, and I've now played the game through 3 times, once on medium, and twice on hard. The second attempt at had I did not kill any of the Little Sisters and recieved a different ending after the incredible fight at the end.

There isnt much blood and gore at all ;), btw this game is Great ^^, I found some part a little scary in the beginning, i havent got so far yet, but the part when one piece of the plane crashes into the glasshallway, and all the water floods in, that felt scary in a few seconds ;) Hope there are more scary things like that...;)

Haha, for me the first part was really intense and scary because of the dark places and people speaking gibberish. =/ As for that plane and water part, I actually waited because the water level was rising, but it took too long. xD

Because he is talking about the game asking a question... Advertising is saying "Hey everyone, go to www.overclock.net for all you want to know about computers, its awesome!"

A thread like that is advertising, and don't dissapprove something if you don't know or understand the rules.

This thread is a discussion about the damn game, not telling people to go buy it. It's your free will to buy the game. If you would look at my thread this way, then this whole site would be an advertisment with all the game logos and such. Would anyone here consider this thread a commercial?
