Ok, To the point.

I'm a compiler and I wanna do a different thing than just compile something but I don't know where and how should I start. I feel I'm stuck now :'(

    I started out as a compiler, too. I moved on to modelling soon after. Then mapping, then animating....
    So maybe that's where you should start. Think about what you want to do. i wanted to edit models so I looked up tutorials on how to edit and the rest is history.

    Interesting, I learned how to texture before I could model, then learned how to compile.
    I still don't know how to make bones or attach mesh to bones. I hear its easy, but I never read tutorials. I'm the hands-on learnin' type

    Well, some texturing expert are usually start from texturing and compiling is the last thing.

    Find the favorite thing you like about your projects and focus there.

    I got into texturing because the easy access to free tools (Gimp) and my desire to see skins for the game I played (Battlefield 2).  For a hobby you should follow what's interesting to you.

    We all have to start somewhere.  Plenty of great texturing tutorials here to practice up with. :)

    It is really cool to see that you want to learn new stuff and have the desire to put effort in your development.

    Texturing is cool and your textures are not crap, look at my first ones (the ones that I released were my 10th try, so you won't find real firsts on here) . It is a learning process and if you are familiar with Photoshop / Gimp you will learn fast. The entry is quite steep but once you find your workflow you will see things getting better by the minute.

    Animating and Modelling are probably the hardest to learn since they literally take years to master. I started it but I quickly shoved it into my low priority ambitions since all the other things I am doing don't allow me to put in hours and hours of tutorials and software. I can make a basic model, UV it and animate it - but there are bazillions of people who can do it faster, better and cleaner.

    Mapping is very similar to modelling and animating - alot of time to invest , but it is fun.

    I never really had the affection to numbers and code to learn compiling - it simply was too dry for me and I need visual feedback on anything I am doing. If you have the brain and the nerves to learn compiling, why not go for coding ? Check out scripting for big game engines or something, you might find interest other than source modding.

    I started on here with CS:S modding too, now a big part of my projects is making interactive stuff in Unity 3D (all the things I talked about combined, whereas animations and models are done by people who are far better than me) and it is so much fun! I regret that I was so focused on that one particular game when I was younger instead of learning the principles that apply to 3D Art and interaction in general.

    Jesus this is getting too long, I hope I could give some material to think about :b
