When I move something in the X or Y or Z axis, it moves along the XY plane

Apparently, I accidentally pressed a button combination when I was moving a vertex, when I was trying to make a low-poly, static car model for Half-Life.

Now, I created a box, and when I try to move it, it does this, whenever I move something in the X or Y or Z axis:

That's the video showing how the X axis gizmo moves the vertices along the XY plane, which were supposed to be locked on the X axis. This happens with every viewport, and when moving in any axis.

But, when I disable the grid snap, it suddenly starts working the normal way it used to... I'm confused. And since I'm quite used to the Hammer-style grid, I really need snapping.

Edit:

Darn, I broke it again. I have gained control over the movement in each axis, but now it doesn't snap to the grid.

I'd like to leave this thread open in case it ever happens to anyone:

I accidentally found this option: "Show floating windows". It was in Customize/Show UI/Show floating windows.

I thought it might help me or something, but it turns out it had done a lot more.

I found the snap-to-grid option in one of the windows, and I finally fixed this issue.
