I'm having trouble assigning texture ID's to skins that were made to replace specific slots. I'm using them on different slots and run into the issue of having the skin duplicated onto the enemy in game.

I tried following this but I have the same issue as the people in the thread with the bat not updating the files. So I tried just called the python script manually by running

TexIDfix.py model.nud model.nut 4

So I'm trying to change the tex id so that its for the 4th skin.

This is what I get back from console

Traceback (most recent call last):  File "D:\Development\Modding\Inject_Pack\TexIDfix.py", line 8, in <module>    nud = open(sys.argv[1], "rb+")IndexError: list index out of range

All I'm trying to do is change the TexID. Thanks for your help!

The Python script is quite deficient when it comes to changing texture IDs. RandomTBush made a texture ID editor script that's much more effective, but you do need 3ds Max to use it.

Ok so is there any solution to change the TexID without using 3DS Max? I'm sure other people had some success with the scripts. I'm hoping their is a more simplified way of getting this to work.

You could try using a hex editor, but it's a way more tedious process. Anyway, the Python script is deficient, because I tried using it once, and it did absolutely nothing to fix the red gloves issue on my Flying Mario texture hack.

I tried to tex-id a model meant to be a reskin of any of the original 8 costumes for Bowser, but when I add a new slot and put the css's in and everything, the model doesn't show up. I even did "this" as well and it went through fine, still not working. :/ I don't expect an answer here, tho I'm sure that someone may be having a similar problem
