CS:GO Radar Overview

I created a map which I uploaded here: http://gamebanana.com/csgo/maps/168739

I want to add an overview for the map. I followed the tutorial here: http://gamebanana.com/tuts/1948

The process is supposed to be pretty much identical, but I followed the tutorial to the letter and the overview isn't working. The radar remains black.

I forced CS:GO into 1280x1024 I disabled all hud elements I set cl_leveloverviewmarker to 1024 I made sure nothing was past the red line I made sure the whole map could be seen I took the screenshot I cropped it to 1024x1024 with GIMP and exported as TGA I created the vtf and vmt files with VTFEdit and replace map name, scale, pos_x and pos_y I placed the files in the right folders according to the tutorial

Still an empty radar.

Any help would be appreciated.

    cs:go minimaps are in the .dds format.

    This is the plugin I used to save my one, so if your using photoshop here is the link: http://developer.nvidia.com/content/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop

    The files have to be located in csgo/resource/overviews/.

    So basically you follow that tutorial up to the point where you create the vtf and stuff, but instead you make a .dds file.

    You need two files in your overviews folder for each map.

    de_examplemap_radar.dds
    de_examplemap.txt
    The txt should contain the regular stuff :P

    "de_examplemap"
    {
    "material" "overviews/de_examplemap" //no _radar on the end this time.
    "pos_x"     "xxxx"
    "pos_y"     "xxxx"
    "scale"     "x"
    //"zoom"    "x.x
    }
    Files Pakrat fine. The txt file will be picked up automatically, the _radar.dds file will have to be added yourself. (make sure you dont leave your whole computers url in)

    If server owners want to use maps that don't have pakrat'ed minimaps, then check out this plugin.

    [CS:GO] Radar and loading screen downloader

    Ok, hopefully I wrote it down all correctly :P I did get it working myself.

    EDIT: Forgot the plugin link, and updated the post in general.

    Don't have photoshop. Just GIMP and GIMP doesn't appear to have .dds support

    EDIT: Gimp has a plugin for dds files. I have the radar working, but the position of off by quite a bit. Sitting on spawn on CT side, but the radar shows me near the middle of the map

    And if they can't be pakrated how would I get these to players automatically?

    EDIT2: Thanks for the help. I restarted the whole process from scratch and it's working perfectly. I've uploaded an updated archive with all files in the proper directory structure. Check it out http://gamebanana.com/csgo/maps/168739

    Also, you can pakrat the radar files still. If you do it automaticly it will still pick up the .txt file, but you need to manually add the _radar.dds file.

    And for server owners (if pakrat'ing doesn't work yet). Here is a plugin that will download the files from the fastdl server for each map. (Its for loading screens and stuff as well, but you can probably edit and recompile if you want)

    Idk if anyone can help me or what but I don't see any info on the plugin in the post. "And for server owners (if pakrat'ing doesn't work yet).
