Hello! I just wanted to ask if my computer can play on decent frames, medium settings and no lag! my specs NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX Graphics adapter - 768 MB
Intel Core 2 Quad 3 GHz Processor
G.Skill Ripjaws 8 GB : 2 x 4 GB Memory - DIMM 240-pin - 1600 MHz ( PC3-12800 )
ASUS Crosshair IV Formula Republic of Gamers - motherboard - ATX - Socket AM3 - AMD 890FX - Socket AM3
Is that enough? I dont care if I run at medium I just want good FPS maybe 67-89 dont really expect much... :)

the motherboard doesn't work with the cpu lol plus the graphics card is to slow for BF3 anyway, What you need for battlefield to get that kind of fps is a 6990 or something similar plus a good amd cpu would do the trick at least quad core

Well time to order that 2x sli gtx 460 in newegg!
    lol
  • 6y
Yeah but that doesn't matter the 8800 is the minimum system requirement for BF3 and that's pushing it as well guarantee you only get like 30fps tops with that card, those GTX460 sli should fair way better probably around 50-60 maybe. Only problem is now is that mobo and cpu don't work together so you would be wasting your money

The 1GB 460 ran BF3 at high settings all fine for me at 720p with a 955BE and 4GB ram.

All fine as in no idea what the fps was but it sure was at least 60.

Your MoBo has an AM3 socket.
Your CPU has an LGA1155 socket. There's a problem.

The graphics card you were thinking of has an extremely low amount of memory. I suggest buying a Radeon HD 6900 series card, they are as good as GeForce cards, and are a lot cheaper.
    Nope!

Depends on model and application, but the 955 and 965 Phenoms perform well enough on games. Also they're cheaper.

They are all compatible with every game, but not every card can run any game.
    Nope!
