Red-Bull. Need advice.

OK. Long short story: I'm working here:

(wich it was:

)

My job consist in taking out yarn reels (about 8 KG of weight), each one with one hand, replacing with empty reels... et cétera. The thing is that in my working place we have rotating schedules, meaning that we have a working time of 7 days (suppose I enter to work at 6 AM, I go out at 2 PM), then we have 2 days of rest, then my schedule changes again (taking the previuos example, from 2 PM to 10 PM of the next day).

Now I got a schedule from 10 PM to 6 AM, and I'm afraid to fall asleep. The job is pretty hard and I need to be awake and strong. I am thinking of buying 2 or 3 cans of red-bull drink and take them in the middle of the working time.

But my doubt is the next: Will it help me? Does it have a long-time effect? Would 1 can be enough? Will I be even more tired when the working time finishes?

I've never drank this kind of stuff because I've never seen the use of it. But now I must rethink about it.

If someone who drinks this stuff could answer me I'd rally appreciate it.

    Energy drinks don't have long lasting effects, and red bull tastes fucking awful. You could try something like 5 hour power.

    Not to mention, energy drinks make you crash after, so that's not good. Drinking a lot of them is not good for your body either.

    Well, I don't mind a lot about after crash, as I got to come back home at 6 AM and I could sleep the whole day.

    Energy drinks give you a small burst of energy but wont keep you awake for long. If you have 3 red bulls for every time you nearly fall asleep, you will make the shift, but the drive home will be dangerous because you will be fatigued as fuck.

    My advice is to get over the counter caffeine pills, they wake you up and have less of a dangerous effect on your body, but still, their effects are negative.

    Buy a couple packs of No-Doz, crush them up, and take a line every hour or 2.
