Oh boy, here we go again with the citadel alarm sounds. This is my third
one! I tried my best to combine the feelings of the first one, and the
remastered. This is the best/scariest in my opinion. Now we have the
remastered remastered version. I made this the same way I made the first
remastered version, but with some other effects, some of which I used
in the first version. Hope you enjoy! This is my final citadel alarm mod btw, lol.

So I forgot about this mod for a while, but then I checked it again and saw you fixed the WAV file problem so I tested it out and it works, however there are a few problem.

    1. Idk if this is just how it is with the normal alarm, however it is very quiet, and I could barely hear it during the part where Barney give Gordon his crowbar.

    2. For some reason during the part where Gordon gets reunited with his HEV suit and the alarm goes off it plays again, however it gets cut off in the beginning during the second time through.

My best guess for why this is happening is because I installed this on HL2: Update, but other than that I have no idea.

Do you know how to do that?, I have no experience in changing wav files at all
In Audacity, in one of the newer updates, it allows you to select 2 types of .wav files to export as. The 16 bit type is the type that works in Source Engine, not the 32 bit type. And I changed it in a very recent update. Does it work now?

When I do that there is no alarm sound and I get this message in the console

Failed to load sound "ambint\alarms\itadel_aler_loop2.wav" file probably missing from disk/repository
Ohhhh, ok, I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is. You installed it correctly, it's just the wrong type of WAV file, it needs to be a 16 bit WAV. I changed it. Did that help?

In that case where do I need to put the content of the zip file?
In the folder inside the custom folder.
It should look something like this:
hl2 > custom > (whatever you wanna name the folder) > (and the game content you wanna install)

I probably sound like an idiot, but how do you install this? I've tried extracting the zip folder to my custom folder, moving the files within the zip folder to the custom folder, and many other things, but either the alarm is normal, there is no alarm, or the game doesn't launch, please reply.
In the custom folder, there's another folder called (whatever you wanna call it), that folder has the game content such as materials, models, sounds, etc. Putting the content from the zip file straight into the custom folder doesn't do anything. Did you try that? Also, just in case, I checked, and the file wasn't corrupt and/or the wrong format, so I think you're just installing it wrong. Did this help?
