Posted by KIPPER To those thinking about buying...

I've followed it since it was announced in 2009/2010 (I think?), it's a really fun game and I don't even like playing games...

The only draw backs for me were low framerate issues when spraying your gun in combat, you really do need a good pc to be somewhat successful in this game due to how fast pace, mouse flicking and resource expensive it is. (I play on a GTX 260 with fans up 100%)

Last time I checked there were not many servers however that was about 2 months before release so that may have changed now.

Commander mode is quite scary to get into for new players as people will shout at you for doing things even slightly wrong.

It can be incredibly frustrating at times and you'll think to yourself "why the hell didn't that person die!?" a lot, trust me on that.

It's very hard for a loosing team to fight back and win the game after it's clear you are loosing, this isn't because of balance issues it's just how it is really.

Apart from that, I don't have much else negative to say...I've used the Spark Editor (NS2 Mapping tool) a lot and it's so satisfying to use (For inspiration check out Mendasp for gameplay inspiration)

a REALLY good server is IbisGaming's server. open console in-game and type 'connect ns2.ibisgaming.com' If there is nobody in it, sit tight for a few minutes and someone is bound to come in. It's well maintained, and myself and other admins are very often present.
