The Steampunk Pyro Contest received an excellent turn out and I want to give my genuine thanks to all those who poured time and creative energy into developing some truly amazing works, and doing so within the deadline.
Ok, enough fluff, here are the winners!
1st Place: The Victorian Pyro Set
Masters of steam and flame and trained from childhood to burn, boil, incinerate and extinguish life in a deadly ballet of dark chemistry, the Victorian Pyros formed the foundation of the Airship city of New London's thousand year reign as a world military superpower. The mere presence of the Victorian Pyro on the battlefield was many times enough motivation for much larger armies to lay down their arms and surrender.

3rd Place: TIE! Dr.Hopkinfort's Detonatron & The Boilerbuss
Dr.Hopkinfort, often labeled the Grandfather of Steam for his development of the transverse piston, is said to have come up with the design for the Detonatron after being knocked unconscious by a swinging pendulum in his workshop. Awaking dazed and confused he noticed a shape on the wall cast by light filtering through a pigeon hole in the ceiling. This shape was to become the Detonatron's fundamental component, the flip gasket, which controls the enormous pressures required to propel the gun's heavy projectile.
The Boilerbuss is considered by many historians to have revolutionized the battlefield, first demonstrating its superiority over the ubiquitous Steamlock rifle in the great siege of Old York. Its success came in its simplicity and increased rate of fire over the Steamlock rifle, which often jammed or overloaded, killing its operator. Now the standard issue rifle of New London's thousand legions, the Boilerbuss's established reliability is unlikely to be supplanted for many centuries.
