Posted by -WildBill- WHATS THE POLY COUNT?! lol, it looks nice and fairly detailed. i'm not a scope expert so i dunno how accurate it is, but it seems like a good modeling job. :) however, the poly count seems fairly low by today's standards, with the 12-sided cylindrical part on top being the most significant. if it were me i'd round it off so its got enough polys to not appear so jagged (maybe close to 24 sides or so) there are also a few places where some polys could be saved. lemme know if you wanna pic and i'll show you what i mean the fact that you took the time to UV map this automatically sets you apart from the majority of new modelers here, so BIG props to you for that. and the UV maps are very well done for your first try. you unwrapped and texported and did all that stuff, so nice work there :) you're getting good! keep it up!

i didnt model it, rossum did, i only UV'ed it

Try again. UV's make a simple model look overly complicated.
