This may be an ancient subject, but i discovered why your raven lord skin i made didn't work for you. Cataclysm uses a different file structure than WOTLK 3.3.5a.

:v just felt i should point that out. If i ever get a cata client i'll be sure to tell you where you can place the file and get it to work.

Hey thanks for info.. but there is something else.. I made topic on original wow forums on battle.net and i get replys from GMs Changing ANY FILE in wow files it's like cheating... they don't ban for it but wow is automatic removing this file and downloading new.. On global it's just IMPOSIBLE to use custom textures in WoW on global servers :\

Where did you get the gold texture and be able to apply it?

Thats a Saxxy award effect.. you can't find it in tf2 files, but you can't just put it on texture of it... you need to make alpha layer ( white things on alpha layer gonna show on what parts of skin the gold effect gonna be ) then you need to add 3-5 lines in VTM file of your skin

Oh ok, I'm not very good with changing VTM files yet, do you know of any tutorials?

Well i ain't know neither... i already known some thigns from VTM, also watched the saxxy award VTM to see which lines should be to add texture ass effect... probadly i will make 1 tutorial later :3

Cool, because I tried to make a change to a vtm to make part of a skin glow and I didn't know where to put the change lol
