Posted by Ashigak Ezekel I appreciate your comment and also believe in texturing maps to look good as well as play good (like all my most recent maps bar this one) but in this case I am primarily the map maker and the original designer clearly stated that he wanted an orange map. I do hope that this won't put you off playing it and anyone else for that matter. The final version that I will be releasing soon after play testing this beta a million times, will look better once I've gone through and added props like tyres, containers, cones and window covers - the beta versions are more for testing the gameplay side of the map for now. Thanks for the comment and support!

well i suppose you should listen to the original designer, but as a fellow mapper you should know that a final map usually evolves quite a bit beyond the original scope. personally, i see no reason why you couldn't move this map beyond that of an orange map, as a prop covered orange map is still just an orange map. people associate orange maps with 2 things: new mappers (i.e. the maps likely to have bad gameplay to it), and with cporangex maps, which are basically sniperfest maps.

me, myself would never be happy to leave a map orange/devtextured, as it hurts both the map's rep, and my own rep. (then again i'm trying to make a proffession out of this, whilst for most people it's just a hobby, so i might be being a bit too much of a perfectionist)

Posted by Superman08 Could you possibly move your maps to studio submissions?

maps made prior to joining are not studio submissions. maps made after joining are a different matter. i'm still not sure about that part yet, but i'd imagine that a studio submission should involve more than one member in the creation process, or be made (from initial concept stage) with a mind for it to be a studio submission.

i'll quote the submission message here: "Studio If this Map was developed by a Studio you are a member of, select it below, otherwise choose "Independent Release"."

so basically, it's only a studio release if more than 1 person worked on it. (for example, if i made a map of an airport, and someone else in the studio made models of passenger planes, that would be a studio release).
