"complex" what do you mean that this was a test... have you seen anything that i have compiled sure i have only a couple submissions on fpsb but that doesnt mean that i havent or are possibly are working on something thats more complex than what you are reffering to sure if you really want this model compiled i will do it but i need to know the parameters of it like wether it should be a static prop or a dynamic one i need to know these kinds of things before hand so i can compile it to your specifications

(in conclusion i need to know if you need it to have physics or not if so then the weight or mass...)

      Edit: nvm i got it...

Edit 2: hmmm well i dont know considering its a 8x8x8 cube that isnt deformed much to keep it from not looking like a cube i will have to say no for this compile job maybe deform it some more and i will try...

Yeah, sorry... kinda got sidetracked... trying to get a fully functional version of the map ready for a clan event...

Ok, so just downloaded and ran the map real quick. It surprised me how small it was. Running overtop as a scout, I was shocked at how quickly I got to the other spawn.

Regardless of size, the layout was really good. those stairs in the spawnroom were a little funny looking, and with the map being that small I think it's gonna be a rough fight over the point when it opens up. Which for arena, is really good.

Can't comment on the textures, as that part was obviously still being tweaked, but I didn't really find myself getting lost. Then again, one of my favorite maps is CP_Steel, so I tend to be able to find my way better than the average bear.

Oh, and the fact that the ladder I found actually worked was an awsomely nice surprise. Usually that kind of thing gets thrown in as a detail and actually finding myself at the top of it after running at it was pretty cool.

Overall, about the only thing I would do is maybe try to open it up a bit in a few places, as sniper could really suffer from the small size. For the most part, though, really great work.

I will be perfectly honest, I haven't really done any mapping other than this one since quake 2, so I'll gladly take a look at it, but it would be primarily from a "noob mapper" perspective. Beyond that, I like to help out any way I can... sometimes all you need is a fresh set of eyes looking at something. I.E. I knew the teleporter was a bad idea, but I kept plugging away at it because I decided that it gave the map "character". No it didn't, it was just lazy.

Thank you! I found your comments very helpful, and while I might not implement all of your suggestions, I will consider your recommendations as I proceed.

To be honest, I didn't really LIKE the teleporter... I just didn't want people running up ramps or waiting for an elevator to get up there... I don't think it will be there in later versions, it was just a lazy solution to a needless problem that was caused by putting together a sloppy spawnroom just to get the map working quickly. I could never get it to look right no matter how I tweaked it. Suffice to say, that will be gone in later versions as well.
