I recently seen your video about statistics of maps and game modes of all counter-strike versions across world wide public servers. Your observations regarding maps that are most frequently played are sadly, true, and confirm my own observations. On CS:GO despite a larger variety and availability of custom maps, people seem to prefer only a few: dust2, inferno, mirage, cache and overpass, as if everybody is a professional player and doesn't accept any compromise regarding maps. I don't know, but on CS:S i used to play more custom maps than official ones, anytime on any public server (at least in Eastern Europe). Maybe CS:S players were not so brain dead and picky, like CS:GO players.
Thanks to your tutorials on YouTube I was able to be introduced to mapping in Hammer and now i'm well on my way to making my very first one and feel confident in my ability to get it done. And it's also so cool that you have a GB account and I can tell you this! Thanks for making all of the great tutorials -- they are very appreciated by many people across the internet including myself.
