    3ds max gives a 3 year free student license.

    And if not 3ds max, learn blender. Selecting objects is way too simpler in 3ds max and blender as that could be done in the 3d viewport itself.

    for 3ds max I would suggest 2011 version as for 2013 there is only 1 plugin (wall worm) available to export/import smd files.

    Blender is also fine and free. Both are better than MS 3d.

    well at least you wrote back. as for the animations, what would you recommend i use then? I think they look just fine, despite being "played out". tried and true, i say. also, when you say "Using Imbrokeru's animation doesn't make a difference to previous compliments", i dont think i understand what you are trying to say. the UVs i do see could use some aligning and ill happily seewhat i can do. however, sometimes when you try to select certain parts of the mesh, other parts get highlighted too, which makes aligning them hard. not to tell you how to rate things but next time just make sure you justify a lower rating so that A) people take it seriously, and B) they can learn to make things better via your helpful constrictive criticisms. ill get to work when i can on it

    sorry what i meant to say is that imbrokeru usp animations is completely overuse. previous compliments with those animations are no different than the other.

    also no, the uv's are easy to fix. its not hard. those uv's are a easy fix. it doesn't take less than 2 minutes to get it right.

    once again no, i don't see a point in justifying a 6 rating. a overall of 6 is good enough. if you are not satisfied with it. you can always trash it.

    if you have problems regarding about it. p.m. me next time.

    please explain your 6/10 on my skin submission because, after comparing it to other 6/10 skins, i dont believe it deserves the same rating as those. if you give me a detailed enough explanation maybe i will see things your way, otherwise ill have to ask a mod to have it removed

    Sure you can take my rating down if you are not satisfied on what you are seeing.

    If you can't see the down part of your skin. I am more happy to tell you if you have not notice it yet.

    1. You should already know those animations have been overused already. The beauty of the animations are already destroyed.

    2. You should also know those animations don't even fit that model. There are many usp animations on cscz rig for that type of model. Using Imbrokeru's animation doesn't make a difference to previous compliments.

    3. Pay attention to the uv's. There recognizable black area's on the model that is easily spotted on hlmv and in game.

    Now that you have known the reason of the rating I have given. Try making something that is new and that is allowed in this site.

    Hopefully that post of mine on your thread should give you a basic idea of how to change animations on a weapon, provided that you use already made animations.

    If you falter in any step, feel free to PM me.

    If you want to make your own, then it is truly a formidable task. I can give you a few names who have learnt animating on their own if you wish.
