To modify the source code, you have to be good at manipulating BlitzBasic, a programming language (i.e. you need to be a programmer). To make skins, you need Microsoft Paint... just open the files and let 'em loose. but if you're going to make skins, I'd rather that you NOT submit it as a mod.

On the other hand, if you want to make skins, I'd be more than willing to help you out. I can show you a bit of the CS2D stuff I'm working on right now, and show you the tricks and stuff. If you want.

Now, I'm not a moderator or an admin, so I have no right to say this, but let me just say that the guys who actually take CS2D seriously would find it great if you were to... say, get serious about the mod (i.e. mod source code) or delete it altogether.

By the way, if you want to make stuff for CS2D, the best place to start would be the studio '2D Customizers'. Making graphics and stuff for CS2D is really easy... making mods is hard. Start easy and then work up to the harder stuff.
