Well... there are problems that i dont really understand code-wise when spawning the player models and such for g-mod but to make the models animate in-general is really easy all you have to do is add the animation directory to whatever the model is by using the $includemodel command in the .qc and posibly add it to the players folder by changing the compile directory in teh .qc
Oh and this helped me out a lot when I started and it sounds like youre just new to this

A lot of good basic stuff there. Its mainly Css and half life but you need to become accustomed to the ways of the editor. There are onyl a few formal differences in ZM, but Id reccommend getting to know the ways off sourcesdk first m8. But if you have any q's then I be happy to point you in the right direction.
You use Hammer, its the map editor for the source games. Go to the tools section of steam and download source SDK and sourcesdk Base
Try this link for ZM, it gives you details on how to set up hammer for mapping ZM levels. http://www.zombiemaster.org/smf/index.php?topic=4044.0
Which one was trashed?
Yes it is configured for the HL 1 engine. So 1.6 is a yes.
Hey G4MB!T let me just start off by saying get the program Jedz Half Life Model viewer. So you can find the models and in it. it lets you choose what part of the model to skin. You also want Half Life Logo Creater.
Search the tutorials ffs...
