Personally, I think that they're pretty good! They seem as relevant as possible considering how little any of us really know about the SAS, they look very close to how the SAS did during Operation Nimrod (The Iranian Embassy in London) which is by far the most famous Operation to have taken place.

So in short, yeah. I think they're relevant! :D

As far as I'm aware, the SAS kit is still unchanged from DPM '98 but there are rumours of a new digital DPM in production. The SAS keep a lot of things about their kit hidden sadly. This should help however:

A few things that I've learnt myself from combat training, is that many special forces (and most likely the SAS) carry throat mics, which are like a collar around the neck so there is no need for a large headset, just an earpiece. They also wear Shemagh's on harsh terrain environment missons, it's a sort of Arab scarf although CS:S probably would get consistency errors from this, CZ could work though. Sorry about the lack of Picture images, but like I said, the SAS keep very close tabs on these things (my friend went to an SAS base to train to fly a fighter jet and he wasn't allowed to speak to any SAS member or take any photos).
