Well I watched the demo in slow motion (shift + f2 for the demo control tool) and the nades were not curving. In fact, it was a great display of the Source physics engine, but the nades were traveling in a straight line. I recommend that you write a comprehensive nade tutorial, for I believe the technique you used is called "dampening". The angle at which you threw the nade allowed you to adjust its trajectory and get it in the door. A nade tut would be quite well received I believe, and if you are up to it, I recommend it.
