Hmm.. That could possibly work, but I'm really not sure. It did for CSS though. If you do want to try it though, you'll risk having to reinstall the entire game again if you don't mind that. Which scripts did you replace again?

I made the posts for people that haven't seen them. You don't have to be so belligerent. For instance.. there was quite a few people that never have seen the Valve thread, i also put in the description that it was "an oldie but a goodie for those who haven't read it"

Hey dude, have you downloaded any other sound packs that involve changing scripts? Are the default sounds or other custom sounds being heard in the game? Could you verify if the sounds are in left 4 dead/left4dead/sound/weapons/

EDIT: Oh, I missed the part where everyone's sound pack doesn't work. My bad lol. If you changed any scripts though, that could be the case. You would just have to replace the custom scripts with the originals.
