Biography
Rafaël De Jongh was born in 1994 and became interested with game modification around the age of 14.
He started with modding Counter-Strike:Source where he released his first submissions here on Gamebanana.
Now Rafaël studies to become web developer and as hobby create mods for the Gamebanana community!

My name is Rafaël De Jongh, I am 20 years old and I am a 2D & 3D artist.
I've been doing game modification for a good six years now and I'm specialized in Texturing.
Besides game modification I also really enjoy making websites with HTML5, CSS3, PHP and MySQL.

    I've been trying my self for over 2 hours but it really seems to be related to the Lazy image loader which we can't do much about, it seems to have to do with what range of the browsers view or something, either way let's hope this can get fixed somehow!

    Edit: Now that I noticed the text editor wasn't properly styled, I've fixed that so in case you do revert the style back please download the newer version first or just leave it at it and I'll upload it tomorrow myself. Either way thanks for your time but once more I doubt we can do much about it, it's probably something Tom only can fix.

    A specular is indeed used for an envmapmask on either the alpha of the basetexture or normal map either works the same but it's needed to be a specular bes that's how the old ways work in reflection (specular caused reflection in the days now it's the gloss that does it)

    I do hope that pbr will be featured in source 2, would make modding much more sophisticated.

    Definitely, currently I only seen UT4 making use of it so let's hope s2 will follow its lead.

    Could a metalness map work as the env map mask in source?

    Using the specular as light intensity while metalness as the reflection mask.
