L4d2 huh. I never really got into the first one to buy the second one. I don't PC game anymore, so that might be why.
I'm just going to school now. Before, i was going to school and working and life so i started to become inactive on fpsb. Now i don't work anymore, so im trying to keep myself out of trouble and the only way i know how is good ol' fpsb :) Plus, i've been testing the new fpsb site, which is cool!
For some reason i can't quote reply your post.
but you're correct, tears for tarnor is currently about 4-5 maps short of being complete.
i had decided to release it from now, as with fewer "new" maps in the campaign, i'm more likely to get feedback about specific map bugs rather than more generic feedback.
I've final come round to updating Dojo, and I'd like you to evaluate it again. This is the gist of what you said last time:
Improvements: If you are going to make an arena map - make the gameplay fit the map. This map is entirely too small to fit the arena gameplay. While arena maps are smaller than your normal CP map, they aren't much smaller than a CTF map. This map is pretty much one room with a couple of ladders (to provide a 2nd level to the one room). Ladders aren't even part of TF2 and thus this map really stands out as a map lacking in the arena category.
If you want this map to remain an arena map (or actually get people to play the map), you need to add to the map. Create an outside area around the dojo. It shouldn't be too hard to create a forested area or an area with other small shack type houses. Maybe even a river, etc. As it stands now, you'll be lucky to grab players more than once - and even luckier if those players stay to finish out the map.
Notes: You've done an excellent job with the texturing and the lighting. Now you just need to work on the layout.
I'm happy to re-evaluate your map when you release a newer version.
