Version 3 (zs_lumberyard_v3)
  • Removed fences that originally stood near shacks.
  • Edited height of certain garage doors, hence creating a new hiding spot near RED spawn.
  • Re-arranged minecarts in the RED garage.
  • Created extra bridge on side of RED building.
  • Removed collision of all lighting props.
  • Imported model, texture and sound from the Stanley Parable to work in the escape hatch hiding spot.
  • Breakable barrels have been added to the map in addition to a second breakable wood plank.
  • Roof supports removed from workbenches spot.
  • Hiding spots to the left of BLU spawn buffed, with added obstacles for Medics to overcome.
  • Removed props that were casting incorrect shadows.

Version 2 (zs_lumberyard_v2)
  • Deleted shacks entirely and instead added a new garage spot close to RED spawn.
  • Added a breakable wooden plank close to BLU team's first jump. This will introduce new players to the potential for breakable walls in other ZS maps.
  • Decreased buildable space in working area near BLU spawn.
  • Removed numbered overlays and rotated arrow in RED spawn to point up stairs.
  • Added some boxes to shaded hiding spot near BLU spawn.
  • Added a model close to the train in an attempt to prevent curiousity. This may need to be changed in future.
  • Fenced off the unused area in BLU spawn to help medics follow a sensible path, can still be reached.
  • Changed log supply back from a full ammo kit to a full health kit.

TF2's Lumberyard tweaked into a Medic VS Engineer map.

Zombie Survival Lumberyard, or zs_lumberyard_v3, is an optimisation of the classic Arena map Lumberyard, specifically designed for use in the Medic VS Engineer gamemode. Unlike my previous Zombie Survival maps, Lumberyard has been tweaked immensely to fully support the style of gameplay Medic VS Engineer requires.
There are 4 major camping spots (though others exist), and entry into the BLU spawn has been blocked off due to its exits' height off the ground. Also, you can no longer stand on the train, however one particular spot fills in this exploiting need by introducing an area previously unreachable in the original map. This map's gimmick is the use of an escape hatch, which is available inside the dead-end staircase, and a breakable right near BLU spawn.
You can play Medic VS Engineer (Zombie Survival) on Rushy Servers. Note that I am only responsible for the restructuring of this map. Everything else belongs to Valve Corporation.

    It's quite nice to see someone making these maps for this new Medic vs engineer gamemode, i love the concept of it.

    But making specific custom made maps, rather than editing the existing valve made maps. Would bring the gamemode more map related stuff, such as setting up the layouts and styles of the map (Not that it's necessary, but it's my opinion) But hey, keep up the good work buddy!
