Sniper yard


Map by _MDL for HL2EP2.

Hello everyone, I present to you my first map for a singlplayer campaign. In the courtyard of a sniper ambush. You need this thing around. Enjoy the varied and intense struggle.

Version 0.2

The long-awaited update. 

Sorry, that did not come out for a long time to communicate. Because of the travel I could not concentrate on improving the map. On arrival home was the deal with this. That's what came out of it: 

  • Fixed env_cupemap's 
  • In the yard with a fence, the question arises to overcome it. So I put the barrel closer to the fence. 
  • Added in some places func_smokevolume 
  • Scene with hunters is now removed. I suggest you just walk. 
  • Fixed minor bugs 
  • Added props 
  • Added npc_turret_floor


Version 0.3 Final

Hello everybody.I am releasing the final version of my map.

Below are the main fixes.

  • Fixed minor bugs .
  • Added props .
  • Geometry in some areas slightly modified.

    Okay, I'll install the map and see, how I can help. Thanks for improving the map, because idea is good, and design (for beta) is very nice.

    In general, this is quite good.

    I needed to build the cube maps though, so just make sure you do that before releasing.

    Some general points.

    1. It took me a long time to figure out I had to get the barrels to jump the fence. The exploding barrel just inside the warehouse is misleading. It gave the impression I needed to use that to move forward. I would suggest removing the barrel and making it clearer I need to climb the fence.

    2. The section with the Hunters is not very well designed. It's too easy to hide in the hallway and keep going back for rockets. I would suggest dumping the player into the area where they have no way to go back. It's tough on them but otherwise it's no fun.

    Other that that, it's pretty good.

    The shading for the NPCs looks kind of off, but it's in beta 0.1, so that is easily forgivable. Looks pretty good so far, hope it gets finished soon!
