An acient castle ha been found in a forgotten land and Terrorists are using it as a base of opertations.

This map contains HDR but you can disable it person by person by doing what the text in the team selection screen says.

You MUST use the navigation mesh included for hostages to work correctly.

This map does take some teamwork to rescue all the hostages.

Best if time round is set to 3:00 minutes, but is ok at 2:45.

There is a triggerable hostage zone to help CT's get the objective done. You must clear the immediate area of all Terrorist and sometimes Counter-terrorists. Just plant and leave the hostage then walk away.

Lots of little things, look for the clues and experiment.

For smaller servers that like to mess around and stuff there is an "admin post" which is an invisible platform on all edges except one. You can only no clip/teleport/fly there.

Keep gravity at the normal level, otherwise you'll miss something great. It will still work, just not as cool.

My good friend Tucker said he always wanted a map built off his idea's but never found someone to do it. He sent me those plans and I have made slight modifications to the castle. Those plans are in the Kings bedroom on the second floor desk.

Took roughly a year to build (mostly on, but about june-august I was working on it off and on for only about 10 hours a week).

Programs used:
Hammer Editor was used along with VTFEdit.
CG Textures site for free textures.

Most of my inspiration was from the PS2 game "Shadow of the Colossus" which took place in an ancient forgotten land. I have always loved such a theme as that with large and different ecosystems and dominating structures. I liked the morbidness of the game in the fact that such a beautiful land with amazing ruins would be lost and forgotten without an explanation. This is NOT an attempt to make a "Shadow of the Colossus" map, but to hopefully put these same kinda of atmosphere into the map. It's really hard with a single map to tell a huge epic storyline of a forgotten land.

Uses a custom water texture.

There are no plans for improved versions at this time.

Known Bugs:
Only on my computer, I am not able to load up the map twice without first closing Counter-Strike: Source first. Unknown if it's just my computer or all.

The map file unzipped is 41 megs and the navigation mesh is 4 megs. Use the navigation mesh to get the bots and hostages to work right.
