Suggestion: Justified rating remover

A little bit of inception (and irony)

As all bananites know. Whenever someone rates and never comments, It can freely be deleted.
However if a comment is added, you can't remove the rating (unless done by the rater).

What if the rating was of pure hatred, or ignorance. AND commented as well.
What now?
You'd have to complain to a Moderator or to the user itself. I find this annoying. And I think the moderators wouldn't like this as well.

I want to suggest an option to delete "justified" ratings.

  • Before deleting a "justified" rating. The owner of the submission MUST justify his complaint

    Grounds for removal:
Reason is irrelevant to the actual content (exaggerated example: "The usp model is bad" on an awp skin)
Hate vote (e.g. "i rated one, because f*ck you")
    Grounds for preservation:
Comment shows personal opinion relevant to subject and accurate on content

  • The complaint must be reviewed by a moderator.

  • Moderator deletes or keeps the rating accordingly.
    Pro:
  • No more complaints in the comment sections of each users profiles (and moderators as well)
  • Calms my OCD
    Con:
  • More work for moderators -_-

    Two options:

    A) Support Button, bottom of every page.

    B) Report Button, on every post and submission page.

Neither requires knowing who/where moderators are and/or collecting their Personal IM/Email contact info to try and reach them (besides, one should use PM's and just c/p userid numbers).

    you win
But i'd still would've liked a more prepared style of doing this.

    Contact a moderator

I was expecting you'd say that
once again, i don't like disturbing them though :(
aside from that, other moderators hide the options with regards to contacting them in their profiles
(though maybe this can be solved by editing the url)

The idea I was hoping for was a more organized way of complaining to moderators the bad "justified" ratings.
Though, I am aware of the bias on the owner's side. But that's where the moderator's judgement comes in.

They'd still intervene with the whole removal process (i put it in the idea), but in a more organized manner. And not by contacting personally.

    Contact a moderator

Post in their profile, create a support ticket, send an email etc. Eventually use the dedicated appeals process (in progress), but it all boils down to contacting a moderator.

This is what they are for. They know the rules/limitations and can make the appropriate decisions on what are and are not good posts/ratings. Users should not be able to delete all ratings at a whim.

I'm sorry, but authors are biased when it comes to their own work. This is why even moderators cannot moderate their own content, they have to have others do it for them.

Kinda a bad idea. Since newbies would take advantage of this by deleting some of the real "justified" ratings.

That's why it should be reviewed by the moderator first.
I guess they can suspend this option if he becomes annoying and illogical.

    (resubmitting old stuff issue)

I think they shouldn't be rating it bad if their reason is simply because you resubmitted it.
You shouldn't be angry though, you didn't make those stuff. If it really is not so good, accept it that way.
I'm not against you in resubmitting old stuffs though.

VERY GOOD IDEA! I WANNA REMOVE THAT GODDAMN BAD RATINGS (ENEV IF THEY ARE JUSTIFIED). I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THEIR NEGATIVE OPINION.

But that's not the essence of the option. It should serve as to regulate the supposed "justified" ratings yet irrelevant to the actual content.

If your submission is relatively awful, take consideration the negative stuff they stated and improve the skin next time.

"take consideration the negative stuff they stated and improve the skin next time", BUT I AM JUST RESUBMITING THE OLD STUFF THAT WAS LOST WITH THAT FUCKIN' GUY NAMED "MunZz". I AM JUST TRYING TO HELP THE BANANA AND THEY ARE JUST SOME FUCKIN' INGRATE GUYS THAT RATE MY SKINS BAD 'CUZ I AM DOING GOOD WORK.

EDIT : ALSO I AM IN DOUBT THAT THE OLD CS 1.6 SECTIONG WILL RETURN. I WANT THIS SO MUCH BUT I DON'T THINK THIS IS POSSIBLE.THAT'S THE REASON WHY I AM REUPLOADING ALL THE OLD STUFF.
