Over the course of a couple weeks, I’ve been taking great stride in understanding Duck Hunt’s metagame and various play styles. During that time I have taken great consideration over what changes could be applied to Duck Hunt to give him better chances against the vast majority of the cast that outplays him. With these changes in mind, I believe that Duck Hunt can finally go head to head with any top-tier and still go in with a decent chance. The changes are as follows:

Jab -

Hitbox now comes out on frame 2

(Aerials)

N-Air -

Now auto-cancellable (Dereased lag in the air by 22 frames)

Increased sourspot hitbox sizes

F-air -

Now auto-cancellable (Decreased lag in the air by around 10 frames)

D-air -

20% faster

Increased sizes of all hatboxes

U-Air -

Decreased base knockback 

Increased knockback growth

(Tilts)

U-tilt -

Significantly faster

Decreased base knockback

F-tilt -

Significantly faster

Slightly increased hitbox size

D-tilt -

Noticeably slower

Significantly increased hitbox size

Significantly increased base knockback

Significantly increased knockback growth

(Smashes)

U-smash - 

Start-up and hitbox periods of attack now perform 20% faster, end lag increased to compensate

Hitboxes are now significantly larger

Can cancel throw 35 frames after throw is applied for better followups

All gunmen have had damage increased by at least 2%

All gunmen have received slight shield damage

Sombrero gunman deals 15%, significant shield damage, and now has legitimate kill potential
