When I downloaded this skin, well the gun pictures and bullets became this very dark strange color and I absolutely hate it. How do I fix this? http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/27349 That's the one I downloaded and pretty much when there's a kill with the selected gun, the gun appears to be very dark brownish and the bullets that appear in your clip also appear to be very strange and screwed up.

The reason you are most likely experiencing is because the replacement you downloaded got sprites replacements. And since it's not the default bullets for the mauser that must be the reason. So it's quite simple to fix it. Go to
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\steam username\day of defeat source\dod\materials\sprites\hud
And delete these files:
clipsbullets .vtf deathicons .vtf dod_weapons1 .vtf
