This is the second version of a map that i done, all ive changed is a few things and saved it under a different name but it wont let me compile.

Ive read the thread by x1337x about this problem and done what everyone said but it still is not working.

This is the lower half of my compile log where the errors occur:

** Executing... ** Command: "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\jimmyripp\sourcesdk\bin\vvis.exe" ** Parameters: -game "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\jimmyripp\counter-strike source\cstrike" "C:\Documents and Settings\James the great\Desktop\tester"

Valve Software - vvis.exe (May 22 2006) 1 threads reading c:\documents and settings\james the great\desktop\tester.bsp Error opening c:\documents and settings\james the great\desktop\tester.bsp

** Executing... ** Command: "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\jimmyripp\sourcesdk\bin\vrad.exe" ** Parameters: -game "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\jimmyripp\counter-strike source\cstrike" "C:\Documents and Settings\James the great\Desktop\tester"

Valve Software - vrad.exe SSE (May 22 2006) ----- Radiosity Simulator ---- 1 threads [Reading texlights from 'lights.rad'] [1 texlights parsed from 'lights.rad']

Loading c:\documents and settings\james the great\desktop\tester.bsp Error opening c:\documents and settings\james the great\desktop\tester.bsp

** Executing... ** Command: Copy File ** Parameters: "C:\Documents and Settings\James the great\Desktop\tester.bsp" "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\jimmy_ripp\counter-strike source\cstrike\maps\tester.bsp"

The command failed. Windows reported the error: "The system cannot find the file specified."

If anyone could help me out i would be very grateful, Thank you.

Lol. We need the top part of the compile log. :D

That one is caused by an error in the VBSP part of compiling.

Well, theres your problem, look at the compile log, where it sez

FindPortalSide: Couldn't find a good match for which brush to assign to a portal near (2076.5, 1659.0, -61.0)

Go to these co-ords and look for a problem, if you cannot see it, your in a little bit of trouble and will need find brush number 63, then delete it and try again. In sjhort, you have done something the compiler didn't like and this caused all of these problems.

Just out of curiosity, what did you do to that brush anyway?

    Will map for food.

    Actually...

FixTjuncs... Too many t-junctions to fix up!
THIS is your problem. Interlopers error guide had this to say:

Description: (from Jeff Lane, Valve) "VBSP does cleanup of edges where func_detail geometry meets world geometry to avoid getting visual cracks. One of the ways it does is this by elminating t-junctions. It sounds like you may have hit a limit of the number of those cleanups in the level.

Solution: If that is the case, you could fix the problem by reducing the number of func_detail brushes in the level, especially ones that touch non-detail geometry. It's probably a sign that you have too much complex brush geometry in the level, and would benefit from having some of it be model geometry instead."
