By stepbro 2 years ago

Basically, me and a mate, jake, have started two new youtube music channels and will be uploading regularly.

Mine is 'GoingOnGRIMEY' and i will primarily be uploading what i consider to be good grime. I will try to include both old and new tracks and have a variety of artists/styles.

Steps chan is called 'GoingOnBassy' and will be primarily be filthy Dnb and dubstep.

We will be aiming to upload around 6-12 HD tracks a week and aim to upload songs that may not be 'mainstream' or widely known, this gives people the chance to discover artists & songs they may have not known about.

Too cut a long story short, if you want to subscribe it would be appreciated and we will do are best to entertain you ;d.

Thanks. Jake and step x

    High Defenition = Resolution.

Has nothing that directly has to do with sounds.

Besides, encoding it into a video probably won't keep it's uncompressed state and in the end YouTube compresses them anyway during their re-encoding.

The word definition has not only got to do with images, the word you are looking for is resolution. And the audio remains uncompressed hence the 450 mb file size which is a bugger to upload!

He's right, resolution can refer to audio. In fact there are many audio codecs branded as HD out there.

But as far as I know, as you say, Youtube just compresses the hell out of anything you upload, so uploading the audio track in FLAC seems kinda useless.

Yes and no, it's more of a branding thing because the formats are commonly used in conjunction with HD.
