help with hammer

Ok so i wastalking to a guy in my clan or w.e and he wanted to learn to map however when he opens hammer through sdk it doesnt show that he has selected anything i told him to go click on the 3d cam words int he top left and switch to 3d cam textured but it still wont show what he has selected aby help would be awesome

don't flame for bad punctuation / spelling I'm pretty drunk right now and don't care enough about it

    Select a brush, then go to "View" > "Centre 3D Views on Selection".
