Ive decompiled de_aztec and when i get into hammer most of the textures i see are purple and black checks. Once its compiled the textures are fine in game.
Anyone know a solution to this or why this might be happening?
Of course its all legit, ive just reinstalled everything and copied files from my sdk folders. any idea what im missing as i guess its text files maybe?
Seems to be most of my aztec and havana textures just dont show up properly in hammer, i guess i have the text file but the actual image is off somewhere.
anyone have the same as me or is it a problem my end?
for example can someone check if they have the texture "deaztec/ground01blend"

I don't know, but it looks like something screwed up in your decompile.
Try refreshing sdk content to get the textures back..
Cant be the decomplie cos the textures should show up in hammer regardless, its one of valve maps so all the textures should already be there. At least i think they should
Ive also copied over all the material files from the gcf folders into my cstrike material folder so it should see them as custom textures and then refreshed sdk content and that doesnt seem to have worked

You probably fucked something up when you extracted the files from the gcf and placed them in your cstrike folder. Don't do that. If that isn't the cause of the problem, then my guess is that hammer isn't configured properly.
I did that after it was already fucked up, ive checked with a couple of people and they have the same problem. Im guessing if you check then you will find youre also missing them in hammer
