I can't seem to get my glass to be bullet proof! im using blockbullets, but that removes the bullet holes on the glass. is there any way to make bullet proof glass without it? my glass is at least 16 inches thick... thanks in advanced.
2 sheets of 8 inch glass.
2 sheets of 8 inch blockbullets.
place the glass ones next to eachother, and the blockbullets in the glass ones.

Put 2 entities next to eachother. They can be anything, so make it a func_brush or something. It's a weird bug or something but you can't shoot through 2 entities.
If i use the blockbullets inside the glass, it keeps the bullet holes from showing on the glass.

Try a simple glass brush and put it func_wall

The blockbullets texture doesn't fully block bullets, it just acts how a normal wall would block bullets. If the blockbullets wall is 1 unit thick, it'll only block a knife and nades, but won't block any gun shots.
I found a solution. make two walls of glass 8 inches thick right next to each other. then, make them both func_brush and your good to go. you might have to put a nodraw in between them unless you like the texture that will appear between them.
I had this same problem, a while back, and never found a solution. The best I can do for you is give you this.
What I did find is that if you use 2 entity's, func_wall or whatever, you will not see a bullet hole on the ground, but it will still do damage to players, and phys objects. I did notice that the damage is greatly reduced.
