So yesterday i spent ages making all the files needed for the radar in game, worked fine when all the files were in my folders, no problem there. I sent the same files to a friend and it worked for him, no problems there. I used PakRat to embed the vtf, vmt and txt files for the radar into the bsp. The file size went up each time so i assume this worked. I moved my original radar files from my cstrike folder to test if it truly worked, no radar in game....
I then try embedding just the vtf and vmt and keeping the txt file in my resource/overviews folder, still nothing. I tried a different embedding software "zPackager" the program said the files were embedded, no radar in game still. What am i doing wrong here?? i never thought this would be so hard.... anyone been here and done this and know exactly how to embed radar files into a bsp? Which files do i embed, exactly what buttons do i press. A tutorial on this would be amazing...

If you upload the bsp and the files somewhere I'll take a look at it.
Think i figured out whats happening Pip, the files are embedding into the bsp but it doesnt remember the directory ie. resource/overviews etc. I looked at the bsp again in pakrat and it was blank where that line should have been.
Ill pm u the download link for the files including the overviews and radars, ive tried embedding with only the radar and also with both overview and radar vtfs and vmts.

You can manually edit the paths within packrat along with names and stuff can you not? if the paths for the files were not recorded correctly then just add them in yourself and save it.

Everything worked fine when I embedded the files. Were you letting the program fix up the file paths?
I did manually change then to the correct paths but for some reason they werent saving, when i opened up the bsp again in pakrat the paths were blank. Might it be the version of pakrat im using?
